This weekend we were thrilled to be featured on PHL17's Weekend Philler. We think they did a wonderful job highlighting what we do, and we're very thankful for the opportunity. Check it out!

Irem's 1987 title R-Type is a horizontally-scrolling shoot 'em up game. Though infamous for its difficulty, R-Type is among the most beloved games in its genre. Players control the star ship R-9 "Arrowhead" and strike against the evil alien race known as Bydo.
In this episode of Tubby Talk, Terry, Steve, and Chris talk about Kirby and his wide-spanning gaming career. Thanks to Steve we get deep into the philosophy of Kirby's lore, and it gets very dark very quickly. Also: Is Metaknight a Kirby?
Games mentioned include: The Kirby's Dreamland Series, Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star, Super Smash Bros., Kirby 64, Kirby's Air Ride, Kirby's Canvas Curse, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby's Tilt 'n Tumble, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kirby Planet Robobot, and Kirby's Return to Dreamland.
It's February and that means it's COOKIE SEASON MUCKLEFLUPPERS!
As part of Girl Scout cookie month in Manayunk, we're donating a portion of the sales of our Cookie Season sundae to support local Girl Scout troops.
Cookie Season starts with our own Chocolate Mint Chocolate ice cream and is topped with homemade hot fudge, cookie crumbles, and two Thin Mint cookies. It's everything you could hope for, and, quite possibly, more than you deserve.
In this episode of Tubby Talk, Terry, Steve, and Chris spark some controversy and discuss beloved games that are much worse than we remember. We also discover that there were a wide range of (incorrect) ways to hold the N64 controller.
Games mentioned include: Final Fantasy VII, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart 64, Donkey Kong Country, Sonic the Hedgehog, Killer Instinct on the Game Boy, Banjo Kazooie, Spiderman 64, Cannon Spike, Resident Evil, Terminator 2: The Arcade Game, the Coleco Vision controller, Jumping Flash, and Star Fox.
In this episode of Tubby Talk, Terry, Steve, and Chris talk about games based on Disney properties throughout the years. We also ask a very important question about Launchpad McQuack: is he a "very muscular pelican"?
Topics discussed include: Mickey Mousecapades, Duck Tales, The Little Mermaid, Darkwing Duck, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Pinocchio, Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion, Disney's Magical Quest, Mickey Mania, Hercules, Kingdom Hearts, Epic Mickey, and Disney Infinity.
We'll be using half of WALL-O-VISION this week to stream Awesome Games Done Quick, a wonderful charity event focused around video game speedrunning.
The speedruns are streaming non-stop day and night, but we're particularly excited for Crypt of the Necrodancer on Thursday at 6:19pm and Super Mario Odyssey on Saturday at 7:49pm.
On the other half of WALL-O-VISION you can play Strider, because anyone can Strider.
In this episode of Tubby Talk, Terry, Steve, and Chris talk about the vast world of failed video game mascot games. This dark path takes us to some unexpected places, ranging from manufactured "cool" characters to blatant advertisements to lifeforms composed entirely of balls.
Topics discussed include: Plok, Earthworm Jim, Boogerman, Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel, Gex, Bubsy, Bonk, Rocky Rodent, and so very many more.
It's mid-December, so that means it's time for our limited-edition holiday menu items to make an appearance!
This year we're bringing back our homemade Pizzelle Waffle Cones, which are seasoned with anise to evoke the classic Italian cookie.
We also have Peppermint White Chocolate ice cream, which now contains both white chocolate striping AND crushed candy canes.
Supplies are limited for all of our specialty items; we hold no responsibility for crushed dreams caused by dawdling.
Eagle-eyed patrons of our shop may notice a new Easter egg as part of their ice cream experience: we're now appending a random zany video game quote to the bottom of every receipt.
If you have any favorites you'd like to see added to our list, let us know!
