Captain America and the Avengers

Data East's 1991 title Captain America and the Avengers is a side scrolling beat-em-up game based on the Marvel Comics properties of the same name. Players choose from one of four characters, including Captain America, Iron Man, Vision, and Hawkeye. The simple two-button gameplay is surprisingly deep: players can launch a projectile by pressing both buttons at once, and can dash by double-tapping the joystick.
